Lake Sherwood
When first seeing Sherwood, it’s natural to feel transported back in time to an era of pastoral beauty where majestic hills overlook lush valleys and the pristine Lake Sherwood. Sherwood blends its rich film history from the 1920’s, when the film “Robin Hood” gave the area its name, with the exquisite golf course development which draws celebrity and CEO alike. The valley and the lake have had many owners, from William Randolph Hearst during the great depression, to billionaire owner of Dole Foods, David Murdock.
Thousand Oaks
Established in the early 1960’s, Thousand Oaks is a master-planned community which has honored the values of preserving open space for future generations. With homes ranging from suburban tract-style to large mansions and ranchettes, riders on horses along the some of the trails adjoining the neighborhood roads are not an uncommon sight.
